OLTS Learning Objectives:

1.⁠ ⁠Describe the history, cultural significance, and physiological adaptations of Olympic lifting.
2.⁠ ⁠Explain neuromuscular and musculoskeletal adaptations in power training.
3.⁠ ⁠Apply principles of program design, including specificity, overload, and acute variables.
4.⁠ ⁠Integrate power training within a resistance program and prevent overtraining.
5.⁠ ⁠Set up equipment safely and understand the role of lifting accessories.
6.⁠ ⁠Demonstrate skill progressions and regressions for foundational and advanced lifting techniques.
7.⁠ ⁠Choose appropriate lifts based on individual goals and perform squatting and hinging techniques.
8.⁠ ⁠Break down each phase of the Clean, Jerk, and Snatch, including hang and power positions.
9.⁠ ⁠Use drills to refine techniques for the Clean, Jerk, and Snatch.
10.⁠ ⁠Execute each lift safely with hands-on practice and analyze performance using video feedback.
11.⁠ ⁠Apply coaching methods tailored to diverse learning styles and teaching techniques like part-to-whole.
12.⁠ ⁠Summarize course concepts, provide participant feedback, and recommend resources for continued learning.
