Meet Fitness Trainer Nithin

The FitClub Academy recently interviewed fitness trainer Nithin M, and he had a lot to share about his experiences at TFA. Nithin started his experience with TFA almost 5 years ago and the courses he’s taken include the strength certification, the weightlifting specialist certification, and functional training specialist certification. He was “always passionate” about fitness and when he started watching the TFA Instagram (@tfaworld_org), he learned about the workshops conducted and his curiosity inspired him to make a move into the space.

Like a lot of you, Nithin actually got his professional start in a completely different industry – in this case, IT. According to him, he took a “leap of faith” by quitting his job and joining the fitness workforce immediately. His initial goals weren’t very different from many of us who have a passion for working out – he wanted to learn from the process and overall, “better himself.” He stated that TFA really helped him find job opportunities working across various gyms, and “going from group classes to personal one-on-one training”. His knowledge of anatomy and its relation to different exercises also expanded, which helped with his professional goals. But TFA isn’t just about career developments – it is also a community that prioritizes personal growth. Nithin himself recognized this saying he noticed a newfound confidence as he increased his commitment to TFA and training in general, and his doubts lessened.

His proudest moment working with a learner was when he was referred to a marathon runner who had been hit by a car and spent two weeks in a coma. Through rigorous training, Nithin eventually helped his client reach a state of recovery, and after only a year of recuperating, the client was able to run a 5k! When asked what advice has to give to someone who has a desire to start getting certified, Nithin recommends signing up for a course where they can learn the basics first – this strong foundation will allow them to build up the confidence to properly train clients. “Learn the basics”, he advised, “and everything else will just catch up with the process.” But the most important and inspiring thing he had to offer were these three words: “You. Must Try.” Without taking the initiative to improve the condition of your life, you won’t ever reach the best version of yourself, professionally or even personally. Nithin’s journey should urge you to take your own leap into self betterment. It’s easy! Just visit our Instagram or website to get started with a certification of your own and see the change in your life!
