A Journey That Began With Uncertainty
Meet Narsimha M, a passionate fitness trainer from Bangalore, Karnataka. At just 24, he’s already transforming lives — but his path wasn’t always clear. Like many young people, he once felt lost about what to do in life. “Until 2020, I didn’t really have a goal,” he recalls. “COVID changed everything. My parents told me to find a job, and the only thing I knew well was fitness.”
That’s when he met his mentor, Vinayak Shankar, who introduced him to the ACE Personal Trainer Certification. “I didn’t even know what ACE was at that time,” Narsimha admits with a smile. “But Vinayak helped me understand how powerful it could be for my career — how it could make me a better trainer and help me truly impact lives.”
The Turning Point: Discovering ACE
For Narsimha, ACE was more than a certificate — it was a turning point. “I treated it like my professional license,” he says. “It’s recognized in more than 75 countries, and it taught me how to train clients with science-based methods.”
While completing his Bachelor’s in Business Administration, he studied for ACE on the side — often after long hours at college and part-time jobs. “Time management was my biggest challenge,” he admits. “But I kept going because I believed this would change my life.”
And it did.
A Career Built on Knowledge, Empathy, and Science
Today, Narsimha works with clients of all ages — from energetic teenagers to seniors overcoming pain and chronic conditions. “My focus isn’t bodybuilding,” he says. “I specialize in helping people in pain — those with knee injuries, diabetes, or mobility issues. Getting them out of pain gives me the biggest satisfaction.”
What drives him most is the human connection. “Every week, when a client tells me their knee pain is gone or their diabetes numbers have dropped — that’s success. One of my clients, a 60-year-old woman with hypertension and diabetes, can now jog after losing 20 kilos. That’s what ACE helped me achieve.”
How ACE Changed His Life
After becoming ACE Certified, Narsimha’s professional and financial life transformed. “My first salary was ₹8,000 — about $100,” he recalls. “Now, I earn between ₹80,000 to ₹90,000 per month. That’s a 10x jump! But more than money, it’s the respect that matters.”
He credits ACE for improving not only his technical knowledge but also his communication and confidence. “When you can explain science clearly to your clients and deliver real results, their trust in you grows. That’s what ACE does — it builds your confidence as a professional.”
Building the Future: A Team of ACE-Certified Trainers
Now five years into the fitness industry, Narsimha’s ambitions are bigger than ever. “In the next five years, I want to build a team of 10 young ACE-certified trainers,” he says proudly. “Just like my mentor guided me, I want to guide others — to help them understand that personal training can be a full-time, respected career.”
His Advice to Future Trainers
When asked what advice he’d give to aspiring trainers, Narsimha doesn’t hesitate:
“If you’re serious about fitness, do ACE. It pushes your career 10 steps higher. It gives you knowledge, structure, and purpose. You won’t just be a trainer — you’ll be a professional who changes lives.”
A Journey Defined by Gratitude
When asked to describe his ACE journey in one word, Narsimha simply says, “Vinayak Shankar.”
“Because without his mentorship, I wouldn’t have started this journey,” he adds. “He’s the reason I found my purpose.”
