Course Title:PNF Stretching
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) is an evidence-based modality originally developed in the 1940s for clinical rehabilitation. This mini-course provides a comprehensive framework for using PNF to achieve rapid, short-term increases in range of motion (ROM) by engaging the body’s own nervous system rather than relying on passive force.
Students will learn how to use goniometry to quantify joint flexibility and interpret results against normative values. This objective data is used to identify specific flexibility deficits and track mobility increases after implementing PNF training. Completion of the course is determined by successfully passing the course assessment with a minimum score of 60%.
To support immediate application in fitness and clinical settings, the course includes a practical toolkit consisting of a Goniometric Quick-Reference Guide and a guide for sourcing professional equipment.
